Agriculture

When we talk about farming, we think of crops!  Help us with our crop fields around the park by planting, watering, weeding and harvesting the food we grow here.  Make sure to bring a good set of boots and gloves!

Horticulture & Gardening

Gardens full of blooming flowers, pollinators & fragrant herbs are dazzling, but boy do they take some work!  Help us to maintain these beautiful spaces around our historic buildings by weeding, trimming & watering the flowers around the property.

Aquaponics

If you’re interested in sustainability & evolving methods of crop production, you could consider volunteering in our educational aquaponics bay. You will learn how to use and maintain a system where fish and plants work in a closed-loop system to grow food. Volunteers in this role will learn about how we can grow food indoors & gain skills related to greenhouse production and plant propagation.

Education & Artifact Cataloguing

A great position for those interested in the historical side of things!  You can assist our education department by preparing & staging our historical buildings for our programming, as well as helping to sort through the forgotten agricultural artifacts we have here so that the community can enjoy them.

Education & Programs (Adults Only)

Calling all adults interested in teaching, education & agricultural history!  Our education department needs your help in educating the children that attend our programs.  Assist us in teaching children about sustainability, early settler farm life & agriculture as a volunteer educator!
